     💛 What is Early Help?

Every family has its ups and downs—parenting can be challenging, and sometimes we all need a little extra support 🤝.

Early Help is about getting the right support at the right time. It helps families recognise what’s going well, where extra help may be needed, and who can support you 👨‍👩‍👧.

You can choose to take part, and there is nothing to be ashamed of in asking for help 💖.

🌈 Support We Offer in School

As part of our Early Help provision, we offer a range of support within school to meet children’s emotional, social and developmental needs:

    💛 Emotional Wellbeing Support

    • Nurture Group Provision – providing a safe, supportive environment to develop confidence, social skills and emotional regulation
    • Positive Play Sessions – helping children develop positive behaviours, relationships and resilience through structured play

    🧠 Learning & Development Support

    • Targeted interventions to support learning progress
    • SEND support tailored to individual needs

    🤝 Support for Families

    • Meetings with parents/carers to discuss concerns
    • Guidance and advice on supporting children at home
    • Signposting to additional services where needed

    📝 Early Help Assessment (EHA)

An Early Help Assessment starts with a friendly conversation with our Family Support Worker. Together, we look at what’s working well and where support may be helpful.

    The EHA can:

✔️ Help identify strengths and areas for support
✔️ Create a clear picture of your family’s needs
✔️ Bring the right people together to support you
✔️ Prevent you from having to repeat your story

With your permission, relevant professionals (school, health, etc.) may work together to support your family 👩‍🏫👩‍⚕️.

👨‍👩‍👧 Team Around the Family (TAF)

Sometimes, a ‘Team Around the Family’ (TAF) meeting is arranged.  A TAF meeting brings together the people who are supporting your child and family 🤝. This might include school staff, health professionals or other services working with you.

💬 At the meeting, everyone works together with you to:

✔️ Share information (with your permission)

✔️ Talk about what is going well ✅

✔️ Identify any areas where support is needed

✔️ Agree a simple plan to help things improve 🌟

👩‍👧 You are at the centre of the meeting—your views, wishes and ideas are really important.

    🔒 Your Consent Matters

Your information is yours. It will only be shared with your permission and is protected by law 🔐.
